Born in the cafés of Milan, aperitivo is less about eating and more about savoring—the moment and the company. 

Named for this iconic Italian tradition, Aperitivo The Shop is all about slowing down and gathering together. 

At Aperitivo, we believe some of life’s best moments happen around a table. It all started in January 2023, with a community: The Aperitivo Society. When founder Maria Colalancia moved to Boston, she was searching for meaningful connection in a new city. Raised in an Italian-American home where meals were sacred and hosting was second nature, Maria knew exactly where to begin: by gathering people together.

What started as a simple idea—and one viral TikTok—The Aperitivo Society flourished into a community built on shared bites, great conversation, and genuine connection.

Fast forward to May 2024, and Aperitivo The Shop opened its doors in Boston’s historic North End. The Shop is an extension of the spirit that sparked the Society: a love for hosting, gathering, and living fully in the moment.
