Aperitivo (the store and community) began in January of 2023. The community came first when owner Maria Colalancia found herself relocating to Boston and looking for a way to meet and build community in her new city. Growing up in an Italian-American household, getting together for meals was commonplace. Naturally, she loved to host and gather around a table, so she figured this was the perfect way to bring people together. One viral TikTok video later, The Aperitivo Society was born. 

In May of 2024, Aperitivo The Shop came to life in Boston's North End. A natural extension of the Society, The Shop is all about hosting, gathering, and enjoying life with the ones you enjoy spending time with. Our physical (and virtual) shelves are stocked with unique items for your home so that you can bring something different to the table.
